HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY AUSTIN!!!!!

God gave us such an amazing gift on February 27, 2008.

And now it's February 27, 2009, which means. . .

AUSTIN EALY BRADSHAW IS ONE!!!!!!

Wow! I can't believe our love bug is already one. Technically, that means that Scott and I officially are parents to a toddler! What?!?! How'd that happen? :D It's been a whirlwind of new, exciting changes and experiences. Austin has changed so much in his first year with us and we can't wait to see what changes come in this next upcoming year!

Austin's Birthday Celebration: Fort Worth Zoo style

Scott, Austin and I went to the Fort Worth Zoo the day before Austin turned One. It was such a warm, sunny day that we couldn't pass up the chance to enjoy the outdoors. The high that day was around 89 degrees, which is unseasonably warm for the end of February! Here are some pictures of our day with our son:

Susan G. Komen 3Day!

I have taken on an incredible challenge. On November 6-8th, I'll be walking 60 miles over the course of three days, camping out at night with thousands of other women and men taking this journey with me.

It's for an event called the Breast Cancer 3-Day, which benefits Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund. Every advancement in breast cancer research, treatment, education and prevention in the last 25 years has been touched by a Komen for the Cure grant. They are working hard to build a future without breast cancer, and I plan on raising $2,300 to help bring us closer to that goal.

Please consider making a donation of $100, which you can spread out over four months, using the payment plan option if you donate online at http://www.The3Day.org. Honestly, any amount of donation would be appreciated! Please also ask your employer if they will double your donation with a matching gift. Of course, I will sing your praises and bow down and worship if you are able to give more. And if you can't, I will love you all the same and will appreciate your prayers and positive thinking!!!

I know all of us have been affected by cancer. I am so tired of cancer attacking those I love. Every year my mom and I walk in my grandma's honor (this past year we did the 3 mile walk in Arizona) who lost the battle to breast cancer in May 1998. Without a cure, one in eight women in the U.S. will continue to be diagnosed with breast cancer. That's why I'm walking in the 3-Day--because everyone deserves a lifetime.

Just follow the link below to visit my personal fundraising webpage and make a donation or you can search for my name in the Donate section. If you don't want to donate online, please download and print a donation form and mail it to the address on the form. Or you can call 800.996.3DAY to donate over the phone. I would like to reach my fundraising goal by October 1st, so don't delay!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this email, and thank you for your support.

Sincerely,
Tanya Bradshaw

I know I know!!

I know, I know!! I said I would be updating this at least twice a month with updates but as you can tell I haven't :-/ Life's been busy. Here's a few updates:

1) Scott SOLD a house!! We are so estatic about this. You can tell Scott now enjoys what he does, he is such a people person that this is a great fit!! Who knew this man who used to wear mechanic uniforms to work now wears a suit and a tie willingly! :-)

2) Austin's been cruising up a storm. He's not quite eager yet to walk on his own but he does love walking with anyone who will assist him. He is also becoming quite the climber. He hasn't quite figured it out yet how to climb higher than a couch cushion --yet --- so we're pretty lucky. (for now! :D ) A couple of times we've made a fort in the room and he's always crawling through that.

3) He's adding on to his vocabulary. Saying a couple of words like dada, momma, do-do (aka: Dog). Every once in a while we will hear him say "hiya" and "whada?" (aka: what's that?) Only recently, like this past week, has he started to say his name "Auhhh da" So cute!

4) Funny thing - he's a picky eater just like his momma. Who woulda thought?! His favorites are: Grilled Cheese sandwich, Bean & Cheese Quesedillas, whole Green Beans, Bananas, YoBaby Yogurt, & Avacado. Yes, our little eater can down a whole avacado in like 5 min flat!!

5) I'm still enjoying being a SAHM M-F and working at the NICU on the weekends. Couldn't be happier - all I wish is that I could take off Sunday mornings. . .

6) I can't believe that in less than 2 weeks our baby will turn 1!! It felt like yesterday I was pregnant. We can't wait to see the mess he creates when he goes towards his very own birthday cake. Pictures will def. be posted!

7) We've had a rollercoaster of weather around here. One day it'll be iced over and high of 30 with the following day being a high of around 70. Yup, Texas weather's are cRaZy!!!

Here are a few pictures I've taken recently:
